I'am sitting here browsing Deviant Art, and all i see is amazing work from everyone. I think I've been on here for 5 hours straight looking at work after work and after work, and I'm floored on how amazing artist on here are....*cough a little jealous too cough* I must say I look at all different kinds of work, but my hobby is to draw, especially comic characters. At first I only liked drawing realism, but after picking up a few comics last year at the Fan Expo in Toronto, it completely changed. I wanted to draw them, paint them, I wanted to see if I can ever reach the levels of the Pros whose names are on the Covers of some of my favorite titles. What started off as a weekend fun trip just to check out the event with my little brother and friend, turned into an eye opener. I picked up dozens of titles and joined in the artist seminars they were holding throughout the venue. Such artist as Olivier Coipel, Steve McNiven, Ethan Van Sciver, Alex Maleev just to name a few giving demonstrations and tips. Even competing with each other to see who draws the best of a certain character. All these artist really inspired me to get back into drawing, something I used to do regularly as a kid. I thank them for the inspiration and joy I got while watching them do what they are best art, being deviantly awesome.
